Hope, intercession and living water.

It’s pouring out. That shouldn’t be a surprise, considering it’s rainy season and often times we run to close the windows so our stuff doesn’t get soaked. But it’s really raining tonight and it’s not stopping.

At training camp, many people spoke life into our team saying “God is going to use you to harvest fruits.” Well, you can’t harvest fruit that hasn’t been watered, right?

It’s funny how God keeps speaking to me about water, mostly on Bangla Road, where a huge part of our ministry takes place. Last night He was speaking to me about this unquenchable thirst for Him, how I would only be truly satisfied by Him.

Later that evening, after I bought a water at the bar, (as the bar tender and bar girls are wondering why I didn’t get a beer) He said “they’re still thirsty. They’ll continue to be thirsty until they have living water. Don’t lose hope though, I have an endless supply of living water for all who come to me.”

One more time God spoke to me with water: rain. I said to three of my team mates, “I just want it to rain! God let it rain so much that it drives all the people off of Bangla.” One may assume, if it rained the tourists would hide away in the bars, my hope was that it would drive them out all together.

Well it did rain, we walked in it and we prayed it in. I didn’t dwell on the directions people were headed in but the street people did thin out. God is faithful.

When we got home that night, our white board was filled with life and prayers from our other team mates. Above my name it said ‘bringing the rain to Bangla’ and now He’s doing it again tonight.

Thank you God for the Harvest that is coming, you’ve already started a great work and used so many to plant seeds. How great is our Father in Heaven that He is always faithful and always good!
