This is from last week- I've been trying to process everything, so I'm sorry it's been delayed!
I’ve tried to type this out like 14 times and I’m not sure how to contain the awesomeness without screaming, so I’m gonna use bullet points and lots of exclamation points!!!!
Crazy freaking awesome things happened on Bangla tonight!

While dropping off English flyers to some of our friends I ran into my precious street vendor friend. We have this routine where I ask her how she is, she misunderstands and tells me that she’s 67, I tell her that she’s so young and she pulls out her teeth to show me. This has seriously happened the last 3 times I’ve seen her. But tonight, in the middle of Soi Crocodile she rubs her arms to show that she is hurting. So I ask if we can pray for her and she says yes.
And we done did pray healing over her in the middle of the street with lady boys dancing half nude all around us.
I got to rub her back and tell her the Jesus loves her and see her respond to the love in our eyes, whether or not she understood what we were saying.
-
THEN, we see another elderly street vendor who until recently everyone thought was possessed, but who God has really been putting on my heart. She speaks no English and no Thai, but I also got to rub her back (this is a big deal for those who are never touched) and tell her that Jesus loves her. This woman who has previously been super creepy responds with light in her eyes and pats my arm.

AND THEN, we’re sitting in the 54 Bar, where a bunch of random God inspired events have led us and we’re not having any conversations with bar girls and the whole thing is feeling like a bust. But God lays it on my heart to pray for the table next to us where a woman is being bought for the night. And as I’m praying ANOTHER elderly street vendor comes up and I ask her how she is doing and instantly she points to her bones like she is in pain. Uh, okay. So Sarah confirmed that we should pray healing over her and so we do! Sarah prays over her bones and when we finish she holds out her hands, with tears in her eyes. Now, mind you, this woman SPEAKS NO THAI OR ENGLISH!!!!! I had the opportunity to pray over her hands, to hug her, and to look into her eyes and tell her that she is loved. And she is weeping. And she understands.
As of that second, this trip became absolutely worth it.

AND AS IF THAT WASN’T ENOUGH, God laid one of the crippled street vendors on my heart who sells the flower necklaces. She always sits on the side of the road begging, with her hands shriveled and back hunched in pain. So I sat with her and we hung out for a second. She also speaks no English or Thai, or was incapable of answering me, but I got to speak the love of Jesus over her as well and tell her that I love her. And I have no idea whether or not she understood me, but Jesus knows whatever language she speaks and I’m pretty sure love is universal.
