So today was the first time we went out on our own into the bars. Boy, is God craycray. He works miracles in His own way. So we went to the first bar and i had a wonderful conversation with a lady there. She was absolutely adorable. It came up in conversation about whether she met many nice men, and the hurt and pain her eyes revealed when she said no was absolutely heartbreaking. My heart ached for her. Then a couple came up and the look in the man’s eyes when a woman was getting up onto the bar to dance was sickening. I left the bar with a broken attitude and pain instead of joy in my heart. We then moved on to another bar which turned out to be more of a bust. But while there, men with cuddly animals kept coming up to me (slow lorris or a baby lemur maybe?). What am I? 5? (Yes… 🙂 ) but God was romancing me with fluffy animals! How cool is that?! It lifted my spirit for sure. The next bar appeared to be more of a bust at first too. The girls had walked away for some reason. While my teammates were playing a game, i was just chilling in the bar, all in hopes of the girls’ return. The bar owner was bored as well and asked me to a game of connect 4. Heck yea! I love games! We only got through one (i lost) and it was time to leave. However, the owner wasn’t ready for us to go. She wanted to see us more. So she asked for our number and wants to eat lunch together! The Lord wants us to have a little bit of hope and he just explodes miracles everywhere! Anything is possible through Christ! Even a bar owner initiating a date with us! God, can it be that easy? “Yes, I’ve already conquered the nation for you.”
