If you were to ask me what my favorite country on the World Race was; I would answer you China.
If you were to ask me what my favorite day of ministry was; I would tell you the day we helped at a Harvest Party at an international school in China.
If you were to ask me which country I felt the safest; I would answer you China.
If you were to ask me which country felt most like home; I would tell you China.
The past 9 weeks in Thailand have been incredible! I have loved every single day. Our ministry has been so encouraging and I really believe we are making an everlasting impact on the community of women here. One thing, I have also learned while being here is that I LOVE living here, I love living abroad, I love living in Asia!
I have waited for over a decade to say that…that I LOVE living abroad. Through countless of mission’s trips and countries, I have yet to really feel as if I LOVE, or even like, living somewhere. China did feel that way, but I knew we were leaving and I already had it in my mind that I wanted to be back in the states.
But with all of that being said, I want to share with you what I will be doing once my Thailand trip is over.
Dun Da Dun….
I will be flying home from Thailand, Tuesday November 25th and I will return to Xining, China the following Tuesday, December 2, 2014. I will be working part-time at the international school for their last 6 weeks of their semester. God put this on my heart in such a special way, and he opened the exact doors on which I knocked. I do not believe God’s an overall purpose for me is the school, but I see the school is my doorway into the country. I will return February 24th, 2015 (my 3 month visa will be up).
I do not know yet what God’s main hope is for me in China, but I am choosing to obey and trust him. Even though it honestly was one of the hardest decisions of my life. I am 100% confident God is calling me to China and I must go with Him. My desire is to love him, even when it is hard. And going to China over Christmas when it’s terribly cold, without a plan, without a purpose, because God told me is what it looks like for me to choose to love him and follow him.
I would love for you to read my previous blog about saying yes to God. You can follow this link. http://chaneyposton.theworldrace.org/?filename=whacking-tennis-balls
Lastly, I would like to ask for your support through prayers.
Pray that I will continue to hear what God is communicating to me.
Pray that my visa will come through smoothly.
Pray for overall favor and blessing as I share Jesus with those in China in the most discerning way possible.
Pray for my family, as they will miss me.
Thank you so much for all your love and encouragement! Serving Jesus through international missions is about to go to a completely new level and it is a bit overwhelming, but I know God is so good and he will take care of every need!!
