Hey there party people, welcome to my blog. I'm pretty new to this game so just hang with me. It's going to be heaps of fun.
I am currently on a fifteen hour flight headed to Seoul, South Korea where I will then get on a five hour flight to Bangkok, Thailand. Crazy, right?
Now some of you may be thinking "Ande, I thought you left Tuesday!". Well, I did. Sort of. I have spent this past week in Gainesville, GA at training camp.
It's been a pretty great week, filled with lots of good shtuffs. I now have the knowledge to:
-write a blog
-engage with hurting people
-give and receive feedback
-listen to what The Lord is trying to tell me
-be smart on those streets
And so, so much more. Hopefully I'll be able to retain and apply it.
It's the kind of week that I can look back on and remember the things I was taught, the people I met, and the wonderful times of worship, and forget about the loveliness of using port-a-potties.
It's funny though that I can have such an impactful week, and still not feel like I'm going across the planet. I feel like I just got a bunch of information for a really cool theoretical situation. It doesn't matter how many times I think about it, or talk to my teammates about it, or look at the totes adorbs flight attendants on Korean Air. I still feel like tomorrow I'll be at home watching Jimmy Fallon with my brother. I've never been away from home this long, so it's hard for me to imagine being away from my brothers, my job, my car, and my ability to do whatever, whenever for so long.
This is going to be crazy hard, and crazy good. I'm trusting The Lord a lot, and I know that He has me covered. Even if I don't completely know what I'm getting myself into.
Here goes!
Thanks for hanging with me. I promise the next one will be more exciting since I will actually be writing from Thailand (eek! That's a cool sentence!).
