Have you ever went up to a believer and told them that you are madly in love with them because you see your creator in their eyes? Or better yet, can you go up to a believer who is just so hard for you to love and tell them that you are madly in love with them because the same Jesus that is in you lives in them?
“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Romans 8:11”
If you accepted Jesus Christ in your heart then His spirit lives within all of us. For certain people and in certain regions we may be the only Jesus they see. Can people see Jesus in you and me? Yesterday my team decided to go to Karon Beach in Phuket to lay out and possibly get a tattoo. So we walked to a tattoo parlor and the best part about this parlor you may ask, not only do they have awesome tattoo artists or that the costs of everything is way cheap, it’s that the shop’s name is Jesus Loves you Tattoo Parlor.
WHAAAAAAT??? Amongst a nation of 95% Buddishm, you have a team of tattoo artists repping Jesus Christ all over Phuket! Anywho, as I was asking the Manager for a Thai bible and I met a man name Phillip who gave me his bible and at first I thought he was Thai but during our conversation he told me that he was on the WORLD RACE!
SAY WHAT!! Big excitement people because the World Race if you don’t know is a squad of I don’t know how many people (this squad had 54) that travel to 11 countries in 11 months and they are apart of Adventures in Mission, i.e. the Passport team, which I am on is part of AIM also. Seeing Phillip along with a few others just made this day a divine appointment. It felt great to see other Christians around the world gathering up to fight for the same thing.
Four tattoos and a few hours later, my team and I headed for the beach to see the sunset. Watching the sunset was like getting a huge hug from God. A friend once told me that every raindrop is like a kiss, a hug, some intimate affection from our Creator showing us how much he loves us. Best part about that night? We had a worship session and sermon right out on that beach with the whole World Race squad!
Looking at the faces of people singing, dancing and praying over one another I could feel the presence of the Lord like no other. Standing right behind us on a hill is a statue of a huge Buddha, but even that statue was no match for what was taking place, even Thai’s gathered around to watch us worship. They saw something in us that intrigued them. They saw Jesus.
When we say that are transformed it is not just our lives that are changed its our minds, it is having a mind state like Jesus, whatever we do in life little or big, it must align with Jesus’s characteristics and beatitudes. We must all be a living walking Jesus on Earth.
