There is a God that loved me so much that He gave his son unto death to win my heart. He wanted me to know that I was loved beyond all measure; a hope that I could cling to and faith that could move mountains. The love He has given to me is the same love that never fails.
God has been so faithful to me and my team. The first week of ministry seems exhausting and emotionally draining. However, I can only see the hope that has risen in this place. I know that my God has chosen me as His temple and that he dwells within me. (HOW COOL IS THAT!!!)
I am so excited to learn more about God’s character. He is so flipping awesome! However, the one thing that has been essential on this journey is love. A love that surpasses all things. This love is GOD.
Going into these situations it is hard to remind myself that God is bigger than anything that is happening. That He is omnipresent in this place and I am never alone. To go further no one in the world is ever alone and there is always hope. His love never fails. WaItWhAt!?
Yup… His love never fails. #boom. This love that God is referring to is laid out in 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 and is further illustrated in the death of Jesus. It says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always persevere”. Wow.
This is the love I want to continue to learn about here. I know that the love that God embodies never fails. So I will learn to love with my heart wide open. God is faithful and constant through everything no matter what. He never gave up on me and I will not give up on anyone else.
God is love… He never fails.
