Jesus Bring the Rain

There was the most incredible rainstorm early this morning!! We have had some intense rain here, but never like this! As I listened to it and watched the lightning from my bed, I couldn’t help but feel God’s power in the storm. I have never experienced a rainstorm so powerful! I couldn’t see 5 feet out the window! I seriously thought Christ was returning to Earth!! It was AMAZING!!

“You heavens above, raindown my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the LORD, have created it.” Isaiah 45:8

Before going out to the bars, our voices echo, “Let it rain, let it rain, open the floodgates of heaven, let it rain, let it rain.” Our desire is that the floodgates of heaven would rain down on Patong that they may see God’s glory. As the rain pattered against the roof, I declared that the Holy Spirit would rain down on Patong as the water rained down in the storm last night, that beauty might rise from the darkness.

God has been teaching me a lot about storms in life. The most beautiful of testimonies are the ones that lay it all out on the table, completely transparent for all to see the hardships that have come. It is through the most difficult of life circumstances that we are able to see God as the ultimate redeemer. I have had the privilege of hearing some amazing testimonies this week that speak to God’s redemption. Everyday the women on this team are a testament to God’s love and truth and for that I am beyond thankful! It is amazing what God will teach you if you are willing to be vulnerable!!

As we go out tonight and prayer walk this afternoon, pray that God will penetrate the darkness and work in our hearts to what he wants us to feel. There is a fine balance between walking in the freedom that is the Spirit of the Lord, and it not affecting us. It is a constant battle between heaven and hell in Patong. God has shown his faithfulness, but we always have to be on our guard, which makes it hard to feel energized. Pray against fatigue that we would rely on God to fill us that we may not depend on ourselves for anything. “The LORD is my strengthand my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him” Psalm 28:7.  LET IT RAIN!!

Love you all!!
