My Heart for the Men

When I signed up for this trip, my plan was to pour out to the prostitutes and share the love of Jesus with them. Little did I know that my heart would break just as much for the men as it did for the women. Bangla Road is a dark place. The air is filled with so much cigarette smoke and the smell of alcohol that it's so hard to even breathe.  The girls will tell you that they don't like their job and it's so hard because you can see the desperate call for help in their eyes. But what do you do when you see a man sitting alone at a bar not paying attention to anyting else but his drink? My heart sinks because you know the emptiness that he has to be feeling to think that he can buy happiness. I want so bad to look these men in the eyes and say, "This is only temporary. I have a God that loves me unconditionally and He loves you too. You don't have to buy sex. You don't have to drink the night away. These are only things that can fulfill you temporarily but I want to encourage you to have hope because you are much better than this."

Please keep the women AND the men in your prayers!
