Letter from the heart of a leader

To my team, my girls, dear sisters in the Lord and daughters of the King, It has been an absolute honor to walk alongside each one of you as you begin the journey toward a life of abundant joy and freedom in the Lord. I truly never anticipated being as blessed by you all as I have been this summer. I responded in obedience to the Lords call to come and lead you all this summer, expecting to lead you all into deeper intimacy and knowledge of the Lord from what I’ve already walked through; however, you all ended up being instruments in the Lords hands used to teach me depths of knowledge...

Almost there…

The past few days have been hectic, adventurous, unexpected, and a HUGE gift straight from Jesus. It all started with our team leaving training camp in Georgia at 4 am to us now waiting to board our plane to Chiang Mai, Thailand in South Korea. Last night we ended up missing our connecting flight from South Korea to Thailand because of a flight delay in Detroit, Michigan. But Jesus was so good to us because the airline put us in a hotel with beds that felt like you were floating on clouds and meal vouchers to eat all the delicious Korean food you could possibly imagine. A New Day-to-Day Adventure

So, I’m in Thailand.  I really want to tell everyone what's happening, but I don't know where to start.  Here's my try: It's different than I expected it would be. We have a time to study the bible with the Thai women that live here. We teach English to some lovely Korean missionaries. The Thai women help us cook lunch. We help make dolls to raise money for the ministry.  We get to teach the women English and they help...

Taken For Granted

When venturing to new places you often find things you aren’t accustomed to seeing. The difference may be seen in the street food where everything from fruit to pig liver is served on a stick. Fresh experiences, sights, and smells are sometimes in other countries and sometimes right outside your front door. One privilege that my team and I have had while being in Thailand this far has been meeting a small few of the 10% of students who have...

The Sound of Heaven Touching Earth

Our Father all of heaven roars Your name? Sing louder let this place erupt with praise ?Can you hear it the sound of heaven touching earth? The sound of heaven touching earth   ??Spirit break out ?Break our walls down ?Spirit break out ?Heaven come down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5Sk-ktjSLM&feature=kp I dare you to listen to this song and tell me it isn’t powerful. Little Lambs, Pimps, and Johns

This blog is a little late, but better late then never.- Tonight I find myself on this crazy adventure, full of flexibility, hard but rewarding lessons, community, and stretching, all located in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with a ministry called Lighthouse in Action, this ministry reaches women in the sex industry here, along with prevention in the slums and villages ALL, along with a variety of other ministries, with the love of Jesus. So far, considering we have only spent one day here we have only experienced a day of orientation and night market life. I wish I had some crazy amazing...
