Remember Nhu

Remember Nhu takes girls that are at risk of being trafficked, as so many here are, and places them in a home to love them, care for them, give them food, shelter, and education before they can get involved in sex trafficking.  I heard somewhere that 90% of girls that are rescued out of sex trafficking go back to it, because that’s all they know. So Remember Nhu is preventing girls from ever getting involved in the sex trade to begin with.  They have homes in a few different countries. The past week we have been working with this organization. Me and Katie have been staying...

God is so big!

God is so big that I can travel to the other side of the world and still find people to worship Him with. That blows my mind!  The same God that I worship at home in my church is the same God I sit in a hut in a village in Thailand and worship. That’s unreal!         As I was sitting in the back of the room where we were worshipping I was just overwhelmed by His presence. I just couldn’t believe that He is the same anywhere you go. He is just as awesome and good in the states as in a hut in Thailand. No matter where I am I can inter into His...

drop-in-center pictures <3

I LOVE THE DROP IN CENTER. these people are all Burmese the drop in center is right next to burma in a place called mae sia. the boy with the soccer ball is Moe Moe. He was so loving and hyper, it was really weird to hang out with these kids all day, and then at night see them begging for change to bring back to there parents. If they didn’t bring back enough change you can only imagine what will happen to them. and that’s why they try and get enough funding to send these children to schools, and children homes.   Oh my goodness this is Ah NAh. We all fell in love with...

Baptized for real this time!

Baptized.  Dead to sin and brought up into new life.  How are we to speak truth to others without really knowing it ourselves?               I was baptized for the first time when I was about 7 or 8. I remember it pretty well. My parents were pastoring a church in the leasing office of an apartment complex at the time and we used their pool for baptizing. I can remember my dad telling me to hold my nose as he recited the the prayer over me while I went under the water. I knew what I was doing meant that I was showing everyone I was a...

a girl named mana

Words are so empty. There really isn’t much in them. Everyone says actions speak louder than words. But I never really listened to that, never. I would shake my head and be like, “oh, well duh.” Thailand is changing that drastically. many stories could explain why but i will share the story about Mana.      We were at this children home singing goofy songs, dancing, playing games, and worshiping. They love to be loved, you don’t really have to do much just a smile, and a pat on the back and you instantly have a best...

People are DYING….and what can I do about it???

People are DYING…and what can I do about it???   A wat is a Buddhist temple.  It also usually has a place where monks live.   I love watching the Buddhist monks.  I saw one in 7-11 the other day.  He was drinking a slurpee.  I thought it was fabulous.   I associate monks with these super holy type people that have denied themselves and are living in complete dedication to their faith.   What I have learned since I have been in Thailand is slightly different.   A good Buddhist man is expected to serve as a monk at some point in his...
