Sacrifice for Sweat

As I lay here and ask "what did I really leave behind?"  I think about my whole life that I dropped for the next two months and how I ended up in a place so foreign to me, but yet so pretty. I lay here drenched in sweat and the humidity is killing my hair, and everyone else around me. You may ask "well why did you leave? Why did you you go somewhere where your comfort zone will be no more?" And is all I can say is when my Father in heaven called, I answered and ended up here. Yes this a sacrifice for us, but in the end every drop of sweat I drip will...

490 Baht Buzzer.

I wish I had the proper words to convey all the feelings and emotions I’ve experienced since I left home one week ago, but I really don’t so I’ll just give you a snippet of my experience so far. Training week seems like a lifetime ago. God healed my heart in ways I didn’t even know were broken. Two words that changed everything for me: BE FREE. My sweet Father in Heaven used my team, my beautiful leaders and His word to open my eyes to the lies I had been believing and even telling myself. We made...

SMILE (translation: sure makes it lots easier)

DISCLAIMER: I have been traveling for about 62 hours. God’s amazing grace is the only reason I am functioning currently. I may be a bit delirious at the moment, but I am happy to report that I am well…happy. However, it would be impossible not...

Present Toil, Future Fruit

Present Toil, Future Fruit Written by: Kayla Shannon and Summer Fulcher Have you ever questioned the point in what you’re doing or why the heck you are where you are? Welcome to our lives for the last two weeks. SHE has been undergoing a super transitional phase for the last couple of months. Things have been cray cray. We’ve moved our living location and shifted our ministry from being primarily relational to being mostly manual labor. We felt like everything we’d worked for was slipping away. Instead of pouring out into the lives of others, our sweat was pouring out...
