Jesus wept.

weep·ing                  [wee-ping]                 adjective 1.    expressing grief, sorrow, or any overwhelming emotion by shedding tears:   I am a woman of empathy, I often wear myself out by bearing the emotions of the people around me. Jibber Jabber

Well here we go again, try #5. I have started four different blogs before this one. For some reason none of them have sat well with me, and I haven't been able to shake the feeling of writing about my time with God a few days ago. After all, you guys want to hear about our ministry, what the labour is like. How bar ministry is going. Buut I just couldn't write about it this time. During our team time a few days ago we took sometime to sit with God and just listen. After awhile of sitting there I started writing God a letter, but turns out He wanted to write to me. raw surrender

As I was praying and asking the Lord what to write about, He reminded me of a song that He had used to speak VERY clearly to me earlier this week.  The song is: Only To Be Yours by Meredith Andrews.     Okay, change of pace…  When I had started this blog a few minutes ago, I intended to share the song lyrics with you and then explain what I was learning through it, but God had different plans.  I started writing and He said, “Allison, I want you to REALLY meditate on that song before you write anything.”    So I turned the music...

this is a photoblog.

I thought you all might like to see some pictures, so I decided to do a photoblog! Me & Gloriel with Ronald. The way we're posed is how you greet someone in Thailand. We got some saltine crackers with chocolate on them.  My sisters! Minus our leader, Kristen. The Thai equivalent to powerade. (so good) Pretty excited to get some starbucks! Me and Autumn at the beach! Trying Lyche for the first time. It was good but Dragon fruit was better 🙂 Had to bring a little piece of YoungLife to Thailand with me. Got to facetime with my family & this was my 2-year-old...

To Give, You First Must Receive

To set the captives free, I must first be freed.  I thought for the longest time I was being a good Christian by forgiving those who had wronged me.  Matthew 6:14-15      "14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive other their sins, your father will not forgive your sins"  I took to heart Jesus' words. I called on strength from God to forgive those who had created ugly scars on my heart. He answered and without a doubt I forgave those...

God IS GOOD!

God IS good!! right?! In everything, everytime, everywhere, no matter the situation. Thats something God has been teaching me. Reminding me via His word, my team, and our contact. (Amanada!) I am thankful though, it is good for me 🙂 The reason I say all that is I got on here this afternoon to post a blog of pictures because I wasn't sure what to write. Turns out as I started words just came and I poured out my heart and what God has been doing here and in me. I got to my last picture (because it was still alot of pictures) something went wrong and my computer spazzed out. I...
