Ok, I have a prayer request: please pray that I won’t kill anyone. I underwent the Mark driving test/learning to drive in Phuket clinc today, and it looks like I will be driving here for the next three months. It’s just a bit crazy. They drive on the left here, so I have to get used to that, and there are roughly a million mopeds zipping in and around the cars. Then there are the huge, steep, curvy hills that I get to go up in a manual transmission with 7 or more passengers. Yay. So please pray that I would learn quickly and be safe.
One thing that has really been interesting for me (and I’m sure will continue to be so) is our intersession nights. We only go out to the bars every other night, so on the nights we don’t go out, we spend time praying for the other teams that are on Bangla. Praying for hours at a time is a great discipline, but it is just that: a discipline. It requires a good amount of focus and concentration. But this ministry is founded on prayer, especially since it is such a spiritual battleground on Bangla, so it will be very interesting to see how the next three months shapes all of our prayer lives, and how much impact this huge amount of prayer makes. So please continue to pray for us and this ministry from where ever you are!
