Last night my team felt like the Lord wanted us to just intercede. So instead of going into the bars on Bangla, we sat in a Starbucks on Bangla and prayed. After a while, I got my ipod and my journal and went and sat at one of the tables outside. I turned up worship music really loud on my ipod and began to just pray for all the people that were walking by. Bangla Road looked like a totally different place when instead of hearing blaring club music, I heard worship music. I was overwhelmed with the realization that all of the people passing me were God's children. I was surrounded by God's beautiful creation.
As I was watching all the people, I noticed one prostitute. She was BEAUTIFUL. And she was chasing down every man that walked by her. And God said, "Kelly, that's YOU." That's all of us. I felt like God wanted me to write her a letter telling her how much she was loved and how much she worth, so I did. Between men that she was chasing I ran up and gave it to her. Walking back to my seat outside of Starbucks, I looked back to see her reading it and smiling. When I looked back again, she was walking off the street.
I don't know if she left for the night, if she left for 5 minutes or if she left forever. But I know that God is going to keep relentlessly pursuing her the way He relentlessly pursues me.
"Therefore I will block her path with thornbushes; I will wall her in so that she cannot find her way. She will chase after her lovers but not catch them; she will look for them but not find them." – Hosea 2:6-7
