I’ve had a Beautiful Revelation

I’ve spent so much of my walk with Christ studying the virtuous woman while allowing myself to be intimidated by her, belittled by her mighty example and strength. But I’ve finally come to realize that despite what the world may think of me, I am the virtuous woman. Yeah, I said it. In fact every woman is her, it’s not a matter of becoming her, spending your life comparing yourself to the infamous woman of proverbs. It’s about realizing her example and finding your own way of becoming the virtuous woman God sees in you. I’ve worried myself sick about becoming...

such a coward

Geez! It's only day two of being in country, and I'm already letting go of what I learned just a week ago at training camp. Why is it that we so easily forget what the Lord has done for us? Why do we need to be reminded so frequently of His love when in all reality a glimpse of His vast affection should satisfy every fiber of our souls? It makes me wonder if we're really seeing the reality of his love. I mean, if we were really letting ourselves soak in the reality of what He has for us, where would we be standing today? What would our passions be? Would we still be...

Unworthy, Unclean, but So Incredibly Loved

“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” As I sat awake, in the middle of the night, on a 12 hour bus ride, I prayed and those are the words God gave me to speak to the women of Thailand that I will soon meet. Okay, so our journey from Atlanta to Phuket was many things, however, glamorous was not one of them. With three flights, 1 (LONG) bus ride, and lots of waiting adding up to over 60 hours of travel, we were all ready to arrive in Phuket Friday morning! Our journey was filled with exhaustion, a tiny bit of culture shock, and a realization that Thailand was finally, actually...

Walking in the power of the forgotten God

An excerpt from “Forgotten God” by Francis Chan”             “The world is not moved by love or actions that are of human creation, and the church is not empowered to live differently from any other gathering of people without the Holy Spirit. But when believers live in the power of the Spirit, the evidence in their lives in supernatural. The church cannot help but be different and the world cannot help but notice”               I started this...

We’re all a little crazy

I can see why people think we are a little crazy for what we are doing. Right now I couldn’t even tell you what day and time it is. I can’t even narrow it down to AM or PM. I couldn’t add up how many hours I’ve slept, or even which country I slept them in. I’m not really sure if I’ve had three meals a day or if I’m drinking enough water. International travel is a whole new thing and it’s helped me piece together why people may think we are crazy. I’ve given up a bed, with known hours of sleep. I’ve given up my stepdads chicken and...
