Speak to Me…

My Training Camp has been one of the greatest things that I have ever been involved in. I can honestly say that it has completely changed my life. It’s been an amazing way to get to know my team mates and build community between us and learn more about the Lord together. I have learned so much about myself and the adventures I will soon be having. Not to mention we’ve been dancing our butts off!         Spiritually, training camp has taught me that I have a voice and the Lord will use it to minister...

Hope and Love are Rising. Lord, to You, let the Thai sing!

Hello family and friends:) First of all, I am so sorry it has taken me awhile to get to you on this blog. As expected, it has been quite busy, but I would love to update this more and will definitely be trying hard to do that!   I am , at the moment, sitting in our YWAM training center room in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok in bustling, yet we're on the outskirts, so it isn't very overwhelming. What theee…

I can't help put laugh at the fact that there have been points in my life (ahem, the last twenty years) that I've thought I had it all figured out. For example, I have proclaimed many a time that never would I ever blog- whoops.  This first week at Real Life training Camp was just another reminder that I have so much to learn.             For instance, I thought I loved camping but when we arrived the first night and they told us to grab three things and we wouldn't be back...

where the spirit of the lord is, there is freedom

Hello from Bangkok! We are here safely and I am personally enjoying letting my feet and ankles "unswell" from the long flights. It blows my mind that I have been with this group of girls for a day short of a week already. When we met on the 3rd, we sure were put to the challenge for community within our team. We slept outside, unexpectedly, on the first night. For me, I was a little hesitant at first about training camp when I arrived. I guess my poor attitude could have come from feeling a little sick that day but I also learned the next day that I had expectations about training...

Safe in Thailand!

We just spoke with the team leader and they've all arrived safely in Thailand.  They are in route to their ministry site and will be settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! Real Life field support team

To Bring Life Abundant

By the time I laid down on my tarp to sleep Friday night, I was defeated.                   Yes, you heard me right. I just said I was sleeping on a tarp under the stars. While that may sound romantic to some, first you need to realize that the mountains of Tennessee get quite chilly when the only possessions you have are a jacket, a Bible, and a headlamp. Add in 21 other girls, lots of spiders, and some unreleased expectations and you have the perfect recipe for a very difficult first night at training...
