Chasing Daylight

I wrote this on the plane, but could not post till now!   After 20 hours on a plane where it happened to be light the WHOLE TIME, team Thailand has finally made it safely to Bangkok! …And now it is dark around us, but we have brought the light! Hallelujah!  Jesus has been good to us all week! He has united us as a team and given us a safe place to be vulnerable, be safe, and to grow! Taken For Granted

When venturing to new places you often find things you aren’t accustomed to seeing. The difference may be seen in the street food where everything from fruit to pig liver is served on a stick. It may be seen in the skin tainted, tangled limbs of the beggar on the sidewalk. It may been seen in the woman flaunting herself on the street corner. Little Feet

      She sat on her legs with her small bare feet poking out behind her. In her hands she held a cup with sticks of incense; she shook it between moments of meditation. Thailand Arrival!

Our Fall 2014 team has officially arrived in Thailand!  On of their leaders, Sara, called around 10:00am this morning and their travel from Atlanta was uneventful and smooth.  Even all of their luggage made it!  The team will spend the coming days getting introduced to their ministry, coming to know the culture, and finding a routine for the months ahead.   They will be getting internet within the week so that they can communicate home and share more about what their days and weeks will look like.  Until then, we wanted to let you know that all is well....

Jumping In

Hey there party people, welcome to my blog. I'm pretty new to this game so just hang with me. It's going to be heaps of fun.  I am currently on a fifteen hour flight headed to Seoul, South Korea where I will then get on a five hour flight to Bangkok, Thailand.
