i know I AM

we were having our normal worship session before ministry and I was overcome with the feeling of needing to write. So I began to write, not knowing what I was really writing, but yet words were flooding the page. This is the condensed version of the story, but it is about a King who was adores by his people, but yet no one had seen him. When people tried to describe him they couldn't imagine him, except for one girl. She described exactly what he looked like, from his scar covered feet to his crown adorned head. No one believed her, and the people shunned her, but then the King...

Revival? Yes Please

Our team has been praying for a revival on Bangla Street.  As we walk the street every day and see so much darkness we constantly are asking God to change that place in a massive way.  The other night our team of intercessors prayed for joy and laughter as well as a revival. Ask and you shall receive…right? Absolutely. As our night neared the end on Bangla, God did just that. My team and I were walking by a bar with a live band. They announced that they were about to play a Britney Spears song and of course I wanted to stay and listen. We stood outside the bar as they...

Bringing the Kingdom to Bangla

During worship the other night God gave me an image and placed the women of Bangla very heavy on my heart. First he revealed to me a heart of a Christian. It has holes from pain and brokenness that we’ve all experienced at some point in life, but the holes are now full and over flowing with water because Jesus is the living water. Then I started thinking about how the women on Bangla are so hurt and full of sorrow. They feel shameful and dirty because of the life they are enslaved to, but the dirtiness they feel day after day cannot be taken away by a shower the next morning. Only...

A whole new world

Sometimes we think the only world that matters is the one we have always known. Maybe there is more to life than just what is comfortable. I am going to challenge myself to push my comfort zone and see the world through the eyes of its creator. First and foremost we have arrived in Thailand safe and sound. The crew (my amazing team of girls) is doing fantastic and we are coming together as a family. Plus Thailand is absolutely gorgeous! Ministry starts next week and I cannot wait to pour into the people here in Thailand. The craziest part is knowing that God wants to love on the...

Same Same… but VERY Different

“Same Same… But Different”   This is a common phrased used among Thai people and is now a part of my team’s favorite things to say. This phrase is fitting for how I would describe myself and the prostitutes I saw on Bangla Road after ministry Tuesday morning. Let me explain, usually my team will go to Bangla from 9:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. to do ministry, which usually consists of prayer walking the street, talking to various bar and ping pong (strip show) promoters, and women in the bars. We’ve done this for the past 3 months, it’s been wonderful and...

We are leaving.. HE is Not!

How do you sum up three and a half months? How do you sum up relationships that mean so much to you? How do you sum up the ways you've seen the Holy Spirit come through in countless ways for you? How do you explain the power? The visions? The love? The brokenness? The joy? The pain? The life?   I've been trying to figure out how to close out this chapter of my life (for now) on here. Thinking, and reading others blog's letting the gears in my head grind out ideas of what to say. I'm starting to realize I need to just take an idea and stick with it. ;p But which...
